Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville is a model of shared services for other Habitat affiliates with outreach in five counties — Davidson, Wilson, Dickson, Cheatham and Robertson. Operating as one agency with the central office located in Nashville, more future homeowners become empowered and self-sufficient through the shared services model. To support our mission, we operate ReStores in Davidson, Dickson, and Wilson counties.

Davidson County (Nashville)
Habitat of Greater Nashville was established March 25, 1985 and we dedicated our first home in 1987. We celebrated our 500th new home in 2012 and welcomed our 1,000 homeowner in 2022! We changed our name in 2012 to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville to reflect the greater geographic service area of our five counties. We opened our first social enterprise and retail store, now called the ReStore, in 2004 and combined our office and ReStore space in 2017 under our current location at 414 Harding Place. We have built more than 630 ENERGY STAR® certified homes in all our counties. You can read more about our sustainable practices here.
Through Habitat’s tithe program to Habitat International, we have donated nearly $2 million toward housing solutions for 420 families around the globe.
Wilson County
The work of Wilson Habitat began in 1992 with the first home built in 1994, which is still occupied by the original homeowner who paid off her mortgage with the help from an anonymous donor in 2014. Wilson Habitat has built 94 homes and renovated three. In May 2012, Wilson Habitat held its first Blitz Build, completing a house in five consecutive days with the support of 30 businesses from local construction industries. Wilson Habitat merged with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville in 2012. The new Wilson ReStore opens in April of 2024.

Dickson County
Dickson Habitat was founded in 1994 by the Dickson County Ministerial Fellowship and built its first home in 1996. In July 2007, Habitat of Greater Nashville merged with the Dickson Habitat affiliate and built its first combined home that year. Dickson Habitat has built 40 homes since inception and opened the Dickson ReStore in 2011.
The Dickson ReStore expanded its floor space by 10,000 sq.ft. in 2024 and is open Tuesday – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit us at 223 Dickson Plaza to donate household and office items and for great shopping opportunities.

Cheatham County
When Habitat of Greater Nashville worked to help residents in Cheatham County after the devastating floods of 2010, it became evident that the work was far from finished. A desire to have a permanent advocate for quality, affordable housing turned into the Cheatham Habitat. This commitment, along with many volunteers and donors, saw the completion of Cheatham County's first Habitat house in 2011. Since then 13 Habitat homes have been built for families in Cheatham County.

Robertson County
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville is excited to welcome the Robertson County Habitat for Humanity as part of its expanding family. Jeff Bennett, Director of Regional Operations, heads up the fundraising and homeowner outreach in Robertson County. Bennett oversees the Wilson, Cheatham and Dickson regions.
"We are so excited to begin work in Robertson County," says Bennett. "The current real estate market is making it so difficult for families to purchase quality affordable homes and live in the towns they work in. We have established a strong committed Community Advisory Council of local residents to help us build homes, communities and hope." The first Robertson County home build is underway.
