Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville is deeply committed to empowering families with the opportunity to buy their own homes. To strengthen our fulfillment of this mission, Homeowner Academy —our educational initiative—was established in early 2005. This program is a series of courses designed to teach life skills and encourage new habits. From teaching financial management and budgeting to home construction and maintenance and repair, our goal is to equip individuals and families to become more self-sufficient and be successful first-time homeowners.
