Volunteer Appreciation Event

Gladys and Bill Wolfe, members of Calvary United Methodist Church. Gladys Wolfe has been a volunteer coordinator for Nashville Area Habitat's Unity Build each year.
Steve Lainhart
Steve Lainhart, member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, which has built 11 Nashville Area Habitat homes. Lainhart is also an SOS (supervisor on site) for Nashville Area Habitat. SOSs are experienced leaders who supervise groups of volunteers throughout the build season.
100% Owen Students
Members of 100% Owen, a student community service organization at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management. 100% Owen members helped build wall panels for Nashville Area Habitat homes in August 2007, and the group contributed $2,500 to the agency to build more homes. Latest Headlines

Bridgestone Americas dedicated a home sponsored and built by the company for one of their own—Latrice Steel, a customer service representative at Bridgestone/Firestone since 2006.

The Ensworth School dedicated four homes, sponsored and built simultaneously by school trustees, staff, faculty and students in celebration of the schools 50th birthday.

LP Corporation built their fourth Nashville Area Habitat home for Richard Boyd. Next door, LP Corporation and the Tennessee Titans teamed up to build the fifth Tennessee Titans home for Sarieda Evans.

Gary Bigelow receiving Energy Star Award

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) have awarded Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity the 2008 ENERGY STAR Award for Excellence in Energy-Efficient Affordable Housing.
