Dale Owen receives Visa gift card for hole in one

Dale Owen of Charlotte, Tenn., scored a hole in one to win a $500 Visa gift card at a golf scramble benefiting Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity’s Dickson Division at Willow Ridge Golf Course in McEwen, Tenn. on September 26. Hard rain fell all morning, but teams were blessed with a beautiful afternoon of golf, great fun, prizes and food. The event was chaired by Dr. Ed Blackburn and the Dickson Division Habitat Golf Committee.

Greater Nashville Association of Realtors (GNAR) Dickson Chapter also held their annual golf tournament to benefit Habitat on October 5 at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson. The weather was cooler, but dry and overcast. O’Charley’s provided lunch. Channel 4’s Rudy Kalis, who came to play but didn’t know about the tournament, offered impromptu support of Habitat by posing for a few photos. Both events together raised approximately $14,000 to help build more Habitat homes in Dickson County.
