HomeWORKS
Tools for homeownership. Education for life.
The Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity (NAHFH) is deeply committed to empowering families with the opportunity to build and buy their own homes. To strengthen our fulfillment of this mission, HomeWORKS, our educational initiative, was established in early 2005. This initiative is a series of courses designed to teach new skills and encourage new habits. From financial management and budgeting to home construction, maintenance and repair, our goal is to equip individuals and families to become more self-sufficient and create new opportunities for themselves.
HomeWORKS is vital to our mission of providing affordable, decent homes for our Nashville neighbors in need. Along with the bricks and mortar associated with homeownership, HomeWORKS offers the instruction, training and skill to sustain a better life—one individual, one family and one community at a time.

Habitat HomeWORKS ensures that partner families are prepared for the responsibilities and opportunities of homeownership. HomeWORKS builds life skills for Habitat family members and without the help of volunteer teachers, Habitat families would not be prepared with the knowledge they need to be successful homeowners.
