HomeWORKS for Kids:

Have you ever wanted to help make a positive impact in the life of a child? Through the Homeworks for Kids program, volunteers will get to spend quality time with the children of our family partners by assisting them with homework, participating in arts & crafts projects, along with other assorted games and activities.

A Habitat staff member will lead the main activities with the children each evening, but volunteers are needed to help pay personalized attention to the children. Volunteers will be with the children while their parents attend Habitat's homebuyer educational classes.

HomeWORKS classes are held Tuesday and Thusday nights, from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. and are led by a Habitat staff person. Volunteers need to arrive at 5 p.m. and stay until 7 p.m.

Budget Coach:

Want to make a difference in the life of a future Habitat homeowner? Volunteer as a Budget Coach!

Budget Coaches meet one-on-one with Habitat partner families a total of 10 times over 12 weeks as they complete Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. Budget Coaches will assist their partner family in creating a household budget along with supporting the general Financial Peace University curriculum.

Morning sessions (11 a.m. to 12 p.m.) and evening sessions (6:30 to 7:30 p.m.) are held on either Tuesdays or Thursdays to accommodate different schedules. All classes will be held at the Habitat offices. For a sample spring schedule click here and contact Alex House (ahouse@habitatnashville.org) to get started!

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
