“…Helping families help themselves purchase a home, I think that’s a wonderful concept.”

Large Group Volunteer Opportunities

Wall Panel Builds

  • Large groups, 50 people or more, can frame walls for Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity homes. We provide all equipment, materials and supervision – you provide the labor. During a panel build, all walls for a home are built at once and we can identify the home in which the walls will be utilized. This is a great community service and team building experience.
  • Groups are asked to make a financial contribution to cover the additional cost of preparation, material transportation and on site supervision. The amount of the contribution is determined by group size and length of the event.

Tree Planting and Landscaping

  • Nashville Area Habitat plants trees in our neighborhoods in conjunction with such organizations as The Arbor Day Foundation, Alliance for Trees and the Tennessee Environmental Council. Trees improve the aesthetics of the neighborhood, help with noise abatement, prevent erosion, provide shade and energy savings and improve air quality.
  • Landscaping is done in individual home yards, in common areas in the neighborhood and in the neighborhood park. Landscaping adds to the natural beauty of the area and controls water run off and erosion.
  • Tree planting and landscaping projects are done on an as needed basis. Get on the list for our next project.
